Single-phase supply is generally limited to 7kW. 11kW and 22kW usually require a three-phase connection.

Every home EV charger install comes down to three things: the charger itself, the cable run from your switchboard, and whether your switchboard can safely take the extra load. We check all three before quoting — fixed-price, confirmed before we start. What we quote is what you pay.

Common questions

Can I use my own EV charger, or do I have to buy one from you?+

Either works. If you've already bought a charger we install it for labour and parts only. If not, we supply an Ocular smart charger with app monitoring, including a solar-integrated option.

Do I need a three-phase upgrade?+

Only if you want 11kW or 22kW charging and your property is currently single-phase. 7kW charging works fine on a standard single-phase supply. We'll confirm what your site can support before any work starts.

How long does an install take?+

A standard single-phase 7kW install is typically a half-day job. Three-phase upgrades or longer cable runs can take longer and may need network approval, which we factor into scheduling.

Will my switchboard need upgrading too?+

Sometimes. Older boards without a spare neutral link, an adequately rated main switch, or room for a new RCBO may need minor work first — we flag this upfront rather than surprise you on the day.

Do you install for apartments or shared driveways?+

We assess these on a case-by-case basis, as body corporate approval and shared meter arrangements can affect what's possible. Call us to talk through your situation.
